The dispensation applies to driving school students who started their driving license before 1 July 2020, but who have not completed their driving training before the end of December 2020.
Until 1 July 2021, the Norwegian Transport Agency grants a dispensation from the requirement to teach "Driving on light rail" when students get their driving licence. The dispensation applies to students who started getting a driving license before 1 July 2020.
When the requirement for teaching in sub-goal 7.21 on "Driving on light rail" was introduced, students who had started driving training before 1 July 2020 were exempted from the requirement.
This meant that these students could complete the education and take their driving test according to the rules in force until the end of December 2020, cf. section 2 subsection 3 of executive order no. 757 of 29 May 2020, as well as other executive orders on teaching plans for driving education.
The Swedish Transport Agency has been made aware by inquiries from the industry that a small group of students in connection with the corona shutdowns will be affected by changed rules in relation to teaching in sub-goal 7.21 "Driving on light rail".
Against this background, the Swedish Transport Agency has decided on 14 April 2021 that a general dispensation must be granted until 1 July 2021.
