Rules for carrying out practical tests in relation to the Covid-19 situation.
Theory tests have been resumed from Wednesday 7 April 2021 and practical tests (driving tests) from Thursday 8 April 2021.
Execution of driving tests. The practical driving tests must be held with a mask or visor. The requirement also applies to medical driving tests.
The Danish Health Authority's guidelines further state that you should generally minimize close physical contact, ensure good hand hygiene and respond to (mild) symptoms of COVID-19.
Specifically, in relation to the conduct of driving tests, the general guidelines imply, regardless of the type of vehicle, that:
The test expert and the test taker must wear a mask or visor when sitting in the same cabin. The requirement also applies to medical driving tests. Test experts must carry out an inspection and the following assessment of the test taker before the driving test. If the test taker coughs, seems to have a cold or otherwise looks ill, a conversation is held about postponing the test. The competence to end, not initiate, the test rests with the test expert. Test experts must at least wash their hands or use hand sanitizer before each driving test. Test takers must wash their hands or use hand sanitizer immediately before the driving test. The time of close contact between the test expert and the test taker is reduced, for example by the initial explanation and instruction taking place outside the car Avoid shaking hands with the test taker and the test taker must avoid shaking hands and keep a distance from the test expert. Remember not to take off the mask while driving and if you have problems with the mask and would like to take it off, you must tell the test expert so that he/she can decide on it.
