Many of them were very poor and non-functional cars. There are many buyers for the beetles from the 50s, but they also have a hugely negative critical reception. When we talk about the beginning of the 1950s, it is a car that had a great sales success in Europe, but it received a very strong negative reception in the United States - Renault Dauphine (1956). They found that the Dauphine took 32 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.
Trabant P50 (1957) - The Trabant was named one of the 50 worst cars of all time due to its outdated and inefficient two-stroke engines (which have had poor fuel economy, low power and lots of smoke from the exhaust).

It has had poor rear suspension which gave it poor handling compared to other cars and caused a high rate of motorway accidents. Through the 1970s we have a big list of bad cars like: - AMC Gremlin (1970) - Chevrolet Vega (1971) - Ford Pinto (1971) - Morris Marina (1971) - Renault Le Car (1972) - Austin Allegro (1973) ) - Ford Mustang II (1974) - Chevrolet Chevette (1976)
The symbol of the 80s, as we talk about the worst cars in the world, is definitely - YUGO. Another name for Yugo is Zastava Koral and it was produced in Yugoslavia, and was sold among other countries also in the USA. It was known for its poor performance, poor build quality and many safety flaws, enough to make the car the subject of ridicule and jokes during its time.
In the 1990s we have two very bad cars - the Chevrolet Lumina APV (heavily criticized for its awkward driving position and strange styling) and the Chrysler Imperial (criticized for its outdated mechanics and cheesy styling) Finally, around the turn of the millennium, we have two kinds of cars with very bad reputation - Pontiac Aztek (2001) - it has been criticized, mainly for its controversial styling. It is the only vehicle that looks like it has been in an accident even before it left the factory. - Chrysler Sebring (2007) - has been heavily criticized at launch and many believe it is the worst car in the world today.
